MCom Distance Education Overview
MCom (Master of Commerce) is a 2 year postgraduate program, which is designed to equip students with more advanced skills and knowledge that is needed for connecting with the business world. Distance MCom degree is UGC, DEB approved and recognised by AIU. MCom is built upon the foundational knowledge that is gained in a Bachelor's degree in Commerce field.
DU SOL has a two tier course structure for its MCom students. In the first year, it focuses on building fundamental knowledge in areas such as economics, accounting, business laws & finance. The second year course curriculum gives the choice to students to choose from a diverse range of specializations available at University.
DU SOL ensures that students get academic as well as career growth by providing them with an excellent learning environment where experienced faculty members connect with them. Pursuing MCom can open various career opportunities in various fields like Finance, Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, and Banking.
MCom Distance Course Duration & Eligibility
MCom Distance Program offered by DU SOL has a course duration of 2 years, consisting of 4 semesters, which can be extended up to 4 years from admission date. This stretch in course duration is given to students in order to provide some relief to working students. They can pursue this course at their own speed, helping them in balancing their life and other commitments.
Admission for both Reserved and Unreserved categories is based on merits. Students can register for the Program with CUET (PG) 2026 scores or without CUET (PG). DU SOL releases Merit lists on basis of CUET (PG) Score. If seats still remain vacant, then students are selected on the basis of their graduation marks.
All eligible students need to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent. Reserved Categories need to have minimum 45% marks or equivalent.

DU SOL provides an affordable fee structure for the MCom Distance Program. The university aims at making higher education accessible and economical. Its fees are comparatively lower than those of regular MCom programs. Besides the program fee, students are also required to pay a one-time application fee at the time of admission.
