Distance MA (Hons) Political Science is a Postgraduate Programme offered by Department of Political Science, DU School of Open Learning (SOL). It is approved & affiliated to UGC, DEB and holds the same value as Delhi University’s regular degree programmes.
Distance MA in Political Science’s curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in Political Science through theoretical perspectives, conceptual debates, and real world applications to its students. The Political Science department at DU SOL also provides students with comprehensive knowledge of International Relations, Governance, Public Administration, and Political Systems.

Distance MA Hons (Political Science) Course Duration & Eligibility
Distance MA Hons. in Political Science has a course duration of 2 years which can be extended up to 4 years from the date of admission. This flexibility is given to students to help them balance their education and personal life without impacting learning.
All interested students need to fulfill eligibility criteria mentioned by DU SOL. General category students must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent grade. Students from SC/ST category need 45% marks in their bachelor’s. Admissions are merit-based and there are no entrance test requirements.

DU SOL MA (Hons) Political Science Distance Fees Structure
DU SOL has a low fee structure that is affordable and cost efficient in comparison to other Distance Education Universities. DU SOL also facilitates Economically Weak Students through their Financial Support Schemes as per guidelines of the University. Students opting for Fee Waiver/Concession need to submit documentary proof as mentioned in guidelines. There is also a mandatory application fee of INR 500 which needs to be paid while submitting the application form.
