BA (Hons) Psychology Distance Education Overview
DU, School of Open Learning (SOL), offers BA (Hons) in Psychology, through distance education. BA Hons in Psychology is a specialization offered under Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree. It is an undergraduate program, highly recognized and approved by UGC (University Grant Commission). Distance BA Hons Psychology is a three year Undergraduate program. Students need to complete their 12th grade to be eligible for admissions.
The Department of Psychology at DU SOL provides holistic education in the field of psychology, focusing on creating a strong theoretical foundation, research skills, critical thinking, and practical experience. BA (Hons) Psychology provides a solid grounding in fundamentals, concepts, processes, and applications of Psychological principles in a variety of settings. Topics covered in this course are Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Organizational Psychology, etc. Students also get the opportunity to participate in research projects and internships to gain practical knowledge in this field.

Distance BA Hons (Psychology) Course Duration & Eligibility
Course Duration of Distance BA Hons (Psychology) is 3 years. However, DU SOL gives an additional period of 3 years to complete degree. This flexibility allows students to advance in studies at their own speed and can take a multidisciplinary approach to their education. Every Student should pass minimum eligibility criteria as set by the University. Eligibility Criteria set for BA (Hons) Psychology requires Unreserved category students to have 45% marks in their Senior Secondary Examination (SSE) from a recognized educational board. OBC requires 40.5% marks and SC/ ST students just need to be passed in their SSE exams. Marksheet and Certificate should be from a recognized board of education.
