BA (Hons) English Distance Education Overview
School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi, offers BA (Hons) English through distance learning. This program is a specialization under the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It holds equal academic value as a regular BA degree.
BA (Hons) English is a 3-year undergraduate program, which can be completed within a maximum of 6 years from the date of admission. The curriculum includes English literature across periods, genres, and cultures, along with linguistics, creative writing, and literary criticism.

Course Duration & Eligibility
The duration of BA (Hons) English at DU SOL is 3 years with an option to complete it in 6 years, offering flexibility to balance education with other commitments.
Eligibility Criteria: To apply, students must have passed Class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum of 65% marks (General Category). Relaxation in minimum marks is provided for reserved category, PwD, and orphan students.

The School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi, offers a flexible and affordable fee structure for its BA (Hons) English program. DU SOL also provides financial assistance and concessions for Reserved Category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), PwD students, and orphans. An application fee of ₹500 is mandatory and non-refundable.
