BCom Distance Education Overview
Distance Bachelor of Commerce, is a 3 years Undergraduate program offered by DU SOL. It offers BCom (Programme) as well as BCom (Hons) degree. Commerce is a subject which helps individuals in establishing their relation with the business world. DU SOL has designed these courses with the view of keeping its students knowledgeable, skilled and connected to the business world.
Distance BCom programme covers topics like Finance, Accounting, Law & Taxation, Human Resource Department, Marketing and International Business.
These programmes are delivered through blended learning (mix of weekend classes & virtual classes, study material (hard and soft copy), Video lectures, and guest lectures. LMS access, and digital library access is also available for Students. DU SOL has highly experienced faculty members which focuses on creating a student base which makes students capable of challenges faced in digital business era.
Students get various career opportunities after completing a BCom degree. They are offered job roles of Accountant, Tax Consultant, Financial Analyst, and so on. They get various jobs in the Investment and Banking Sector. Moreover, students can pursue higher education after pursuing a BCom degree. They can also opt for a career in Civil Services.
BCom Distance Course Duration & Eligibility
Distance Bachelor of Commerce, which has a standard duration of 3 years, can be extended up to 6 years from the date of admission. This relaxation in course period is given to students so that they can pursue a degree without affecting their personal life. It includes a total of six semesters, consisting two in a year. Distance BCom degree is UGC - DEB approved and gives flexibility to students to study at their own speed, making it the perfect choice for working professionals, and part time students.
Anyone who wants to pursue Distance BCom needs to fulfill eligibility requirements as mentioned by DU School of Open Learning in their admission form. All interested students must have cleared their Senior Secondary Examination with acquiring a minimum of 45% marks. For students from SCs, STs, category requires minimum 40.8% passing marks and PwD, Orphans students just need to be passed in their 12th grade.

DU SOL offers BCom Distance degree in two specializations - BCom (Hons) and BCom Programme. Both subjects cover emerging challenges and trends of the digital Commerce and Business World. Students have the choice to choose between these two specializations according to their interest and career goal.

DU SOL BCom Distance Fees Structure
DU SOL BCom Distance program has an affordable fee structure which is usually less in comparison to regular BCom program. DU SOL also offers financial assistance and fee concessions to Reserved Category students, and major fee concessions to PwD students and Orphan students.
In addition to the whole program fee, DU SOL imposes an application fee of Rs 500 for general category students and Rs. 300 for reserved category students. Application fee is non refundable, one time and compulsory to pay.
